[01] ABOUT THE PROJECT
CONCEPT
In the context of rapid urbanisation and a demanding pace of life, becoming slow is a form of resistance. In Al Muteena, time is compressed, rooms are divided to fit more people, chores spill into the street, and urgency thickens daily life. Yet moments of pause persist, laundry swaying on balconies, neighbours sharing meals, small rituals of care anchoring the day.
'Rituals of Care' builds on these conditions through a public landscape, where architecture dissolves into the park and supports collective life. Programs of rest, play, growth and learning are interwoven as part of the continuous public realm, blurring boundaries between inside and outside.
